Job summary

You will align Platform, Infrastructure, Networks and SRE under a joined-up strategy, setting technical direction and scaling capabilities for the future.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading Infrastructure, Platform, Cloud or Engineering teams.
• Proven track record managing Engineering Managers or senior technical leaders.
• Strong knowledge of hybrid infrastructure and cloud technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to improve service reliability and operational resilience.
• Familiarity with DevOps, SRE and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
• Experience leading technology transformation and modernisation programmes.
• Ability to operate strategically while addressing technical and operational challenges.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the organisation's hybrid infrastructure and platform strategy with a clear roadmap for investments.
• Lead multiple engineering teams across Platform, Infrastructure, Network and SRE.
• Manage and develop engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering ownership and continuous improvement.
• Drive improvements in availability, reliability, performance, observability and resilience.
• Champion modern Cloud, DevOps, SRE, automation and IaC practices.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operational complexity and technical debt.
• Build relationships with Architecture, Cyber Security, Product and other senior stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with technology partners and MSPs.
• Promote automation-first approaches and resilient engineering principles.
