Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering CI/CD pipelines and platform automation.
• Strong background in IaC tooling and configuration management.
• Advanced AWS architecture skills with cost-optimisation focus.
• Proficient in containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proven experience with observability stacks and incident response.
• Security-first mindset across infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
• Solid networking knowledge including cloud networking and firewalls.
• Experience integrating software delivery ecosystems (Git, Artifactory, Jenkins).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go).
• Proven leadership, mentoring and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead complex platform projects from design to deployment.
• Enable engineering teams with robust CI/CD capabilities through reusable patterns, automation, and security-first practices.
• Design scalable infrastructure using IaC and config management tools.
• Build and optimise cloud-native architectures across multiple cloud providers with cost efficiency in mind.
• Engineer containerized environments with advanced orchestration, networking, and security.
• Deliver internal platforms and self-service capabilities that improve developer experience and reduce friction.
• Implement observability stacks—metrics, logs, traces, and proactive alerting for reliability.
• Champion security and compliance across infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
• Architect secure, scalable networking solutions for hybrid and cloud environments.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, scripting, and tooling.
• Lead and mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and influence technical direction.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, optimise performance, and plan for capacity at scale.
