Job summary

Chainalysis is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate foundational services enabling engineers to run software safely. You’ll own complex work from inception to production, influencing platform standards and roadmaps for highly available services.

You’ll work with AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and IaC tools to improve reliability, automate workflows, and reduce cognitive load for R&D teams while collaborating with security and cost teams to shape the platform roadmap.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting production infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience administering multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters and Kafka in production.
• Infrastructure as code and cloud-native tooling with Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker or Kubernetes.
• Observability design for production systems and tuning PostgreSQL with Datadog or Prometheus.
• Strong software or scripting skills in Python, Go, Java, Scala, or shell; proven cross-functional problem ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and continuously improve highly available platform services.
• Build secure, scalable infrastructure across AWS and other clouds using IaC.
• Improve reliability with SLOs, graceful degradation, and automated recovery.
• Create self-service workflows and platform abstractions for R&D teams.
• Collaborate with security, cost optimization, and engineering teams to drive platform roadmap.
