Job summary

Hydrogen Group seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to build the services and infrastructure behind portfolio risk and analytics calculations. You will turn analytical models into reliable production services, creating APIs, cloud processing and workflows that link portfolio data with calculation engines to deliver results to existing systems.

You’ll provide hands-on technical leadership across the team, guide architecture, and enforce engineering standards while collaborating with model developers

Qualifications

• Proven production Python and backend engineering experience.
• Experience with API design, cloud services, and containerised workloads.
• Familiarity with job orchestration, message queues, and SQL integration.

Responsibilities

• Build Python APIs and calculation services.
• Develop cloud-based processing for batch and on-demand jobs.
• Implement containers, orchestration, queues with robust retries.
• Guide architecture, code reviews and engineering standards.
