Job summary

Devopsroles in London is looking for a hands-on Platform Engineer to design, build and operate a hybrid production platform across AWS and on‑premises. You will own the HashiCorp stack (Vault, Consul, Nomad) and promote automation‑first practices to improve developer experience and security.

The role requires strong Linux, IaC (Terraform), Ansible and scripting skills, plus experience with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS) and observability tools.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with production-like infrastructure in hybrid cloud and on‑premises.
• Strong Linux systems administration and networking knowledge.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Experience with Ansible and automation tooling.
• Experience with Python/Go/Bash scripting.
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Monitoring/observability with Grafana/Prometheus.
• Artifact management with Artifactory.
• Knowledge of security in hybrid-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate and operate the production platform across AWS and on‑premises.
• Own and evolve the HashiCorp stack and integrations.
• Use Terraform to define infrastructure and reusable modules.
• Employ Ansible for deployment workflows and config management.
• Build internal tooling to improve developer productivity and reduce ops overhead.
• Support CI/CD platforms and secure platform changes.
• Improve platform reliability, security and observability.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers and security colleagues to deliver scalable platforms.
