Job summary

ITV Studios’ Zoo 55 Tech Squad seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design and implement Phase 1 infrastructure, including Cloud NAS integration and media ingest pipelines. You will partner with a Technical Business Analyst and operations leads to define scalable systems and automation strategies.

You will lead cloud infrastructure work, implement IaC, and help standardise deployment pipelines across CI/CD. A culture of collaboration, agile delivery, and high-velocity execution awaits in London.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in platform, cloud, or backend software engineering.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, Go, or Node.js for backend automation and API integration.
• Deep hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable deployment pipelines (CI/CD, GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and hands-on development of Phase 1 technical deliverables (Cloud NAS, Ingest Portal).
• Deploy and manage scalable cloud storage and media asset management infrastructure.
• Design and build automated pre-match media scripting and API integrations to remove manual drag.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and QA on IaC practices.
• Build and maintain robust deployment pipelines with CI/CD and zero-downtime releases.
• Collaborate with external vendor teams to resolve architectural dependencies and PoC integrations.
