Job summary

PCR Digital in London is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and implement cloud-based media workflows. You will own ingestion pipelines, storage components, and automation for media processing as part of a small engineering team.

The role requires hands-on scripting (Python/Go/Node.js), AWS or GCP expertise, and strong IaC with Terraform. It offers a hybrid London working model and a proactive, inclusive culture.

Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud Media Platforms) providing technical design and development/implementation of systems that industrialise media workflows. Acting as the primary technical authority for Cloud NAS integration, media ingest pipelines, & automated metadata scripting. Prior experience in the media broadcasting industry, specifically with digital asset management, Cloud NAS, and video ingest or similar workflows is required. You will need strong Cloud DevOps skill set, hands on scripting of either Python, Go, or Node.js for automation and API development, hands‑on expertise with AWS (preferred) or GCP and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) etc

Job Description Main Responsibilities

Skills You’ll Need

• Strong experience in platform, cloud, or backend software engineering such as cloud-based media platform components, including storage, ingest, and workflow services.
• Proficiency in scripting Python, Go, or Node.js for automation and API development.
• As a senior member of a small technical team you should have an architecture mindset, able to design and code solutions that can scale to numerous digital media channels, platforms and brands.
• Hands‑on expertise with AWS (preferred) or GCP and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions.
• Experience with digital asset management, cloud storage, or media ingestion platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery practices and test‑driven development(TDD).

Certifications

• AWS or GCP professional-level certifications.
