Job summary

Vix Technology in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will shape robust CI/CD processes and collaborate across teams to improve reliability.

The ideal candidate has strong Python and TypeScript skills, AWS experience, and proficiency with CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub/Bitbucket, Conan and Nexus on Linux systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in a senior or lead platform role.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, TypeScript, and Shell.
• Experience designing scalable, modular architectures and cloud-based deployments.
• Strong DevOps experience, CI/CD, automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Security-conscious development and knowledge of best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop CI/CD pipelines for reliable delivery.
• Build AWS-based infrastructure using CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform.
• Create secure, scalable Linux platform solutions.
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment and monitoring.
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks.
• Maintain infrastructure docs and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.
