Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer for our Cyber business in Manchester. The role is a permanent, full-time position with hybrid working (min 3 days on-site).

Candidates must be willing and eligible to hold SC and eDV clearance. Responsibilities include deploying applications to cloud or on-prem environments, building tooling and infrastructure, and driving automated CI/CD pipelines while ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

Experience in Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery.
Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure) experience.
CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration experience.

Responsibilities

Work as a Principal Platform Engineer deploying apps to cloud or on-prem.
Attain eDV clearance for eligible candidates.
Build and set up development tools and infrastructure.
Understand stakeholder needs and translate to technical work.
Automate and improve development and release processes.
Ensure systems are secure against cyber threats.
Identify problems and develop software updates.
Collaborate with engineers to follow established processes.
