Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer within the Intelligence Platform Core team to shape platform infrastructure and developer experience. You will help build scalable, reliable self-service experiences that simplify data and ML workflows on cloud infrastructure.

You will design and implement cloud-native platform capabilities on AWS/GCP/Azure, leverage Kubernetes controllers in Go, and drive GitOps and CI/CD adoption while mentoring peers across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-native platforms on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency in Go for backend services, CLIs, or Kubernetes controllers/operators.
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD systems to build automated delivery pipelines.
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Experience with self-service/internal developer platforms (IDPs).
• Strong collaboration and communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and implementation of platform capabilities using Kubernetes-native patterns and event-driven architectures.
• Drive the adoption of platform engineering principles, building reusable abstractions and self-service workflows for internal users.
• Design and implement Kubernetes controllers/operators in Go to automate infrastructure and application lifecycle management.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to growing platform engineering practices across our pillar in the Data and ML Platform teams.
• Collaborate across teams to align on platform interfaces, abstractions, and shared.
