Job summary

RedTech Recruitment is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join a well-funded early-stage tech company. Initially remote with a London hybrid office, you will build and maintain cloud infrastructure to support an innovative software platform, working across AWS, Docker, ECS, CI/CD, monitoring and deployment.

You will own and improve the AWS cloud platform, implement IaC with Terraform, ensure security and observability, and collaborate with engineers and product teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and hosting.
• Docker and containerised applications experience.
• Deploying container workloads using Amazon ECS.
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Monitoring and observability tools experience for platform reliability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup and take ownership.
• Excellent communication with engineers, product teams and stakeholders.
• Willing and eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (usually 5 years residency and clean record).
• Desirable: Python, TypeScript, AWS KMS and AWS Lambda.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the AWS cloud platform that supports the company's software applications.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines for reliable, frequent releases.
• Manage containerised deployments using Docker and Amazon ECS.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting to improve performance and visibility.
• Collaborate with software engineers to streamline development and deployment while maintaining security.
• Produce clear technical documentation and platform guidance for the engineering team.
