Job summary

easyJet is seeking a Lead Platform Architect to govern and evolve the Airline Operations Platform, unifying Mission domains such as Crew, Airports, Flight Operations, and Engineering into a single resilient platform.

You will lead architecture strategy, drive API-first and event-driven patterns, ensure security and aviation-standard compliance, and mentor distributed engineering teams. Note: visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to think in large, interconnected systems rather than isolated components.
• Proven experience aligning distinct product demands with overall business strategy.
• Deep mastery of scalable, API-first, and event-driven architectures.
• Direct experience with aviation data frameworks and industry standards (e.g., IATA) is highly desirable.
• Strong track record of running design reviews and managing technical debt in complex environments.
• Excellent communication to influence federated engineering teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the target architecture and roadmap for the Airline Operations Platform to enable multi-Mission reuse.
• Enforce API-first, event-driven design and platform standards across teams.
• Lead architecture governance, design reviews, and release readiness activities.
• Champion real-time data, telemetry, and scalable core layers for identity, data, and orchestration.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to align platform goals with enterprise strategy.
