Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Lead Data Scientist and Generative Lead within the Applied AI/ML team to design, build, and operate production-grade ML and Generative AI services in enterprise environments.

You will set technical direction, code with care, and drive standards for security, stability, and operational rigor across multiple workstreams. You will work closely with Infrastructure Platforms AI teams to address priority use cases, mentor engineers, and promote best practices for scalable,

Qualifications

• Post Graduate qualification (Masters or PhD) in Data Science, CS or Mathematics.
• Hands-on development of AI-enabled production systems with ML/DL/LLM work.
• Strong stats, experimental design, and uncertainty handling.
• Deep experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and Transformers.
• Experience deploying and operating models in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and drive decisions.
• Develop and ship AI-enabled services with scalable production deployment.
• Mentor engineers and enforce security, reliability, and governance standards.
• Collaborate with teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Design and monitor RAG and agentic AI systems with safety controls.
• Create reusable assets, templates, and playbooks for platform users.
