Colas Ltd. in Winsford, Cheshire, seeks a Plant & Transport Manager to oversee operational efficiency, safety and regulatory compliance across sites. The role includes managing resources, coordinating logistics and ensuring adherence to company policies while travel to operations as required.

You will lead safety initiatives, develop fleet strategies and report on performance, with a strong emphasis on safety, emissions reduction and process improvements. Hybrid working arrangements may apply.

Formación

• TM CPC and IOSH Managing Safety with a FORS Advanced Practitioner qualification.
• Experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management and safety regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee multiple sites and its equipment and implement the carbon strategy, including investments and fleet replacement plans.
• Improve safety, reduce emissions, analyse driver behaviour, review fuel consumption and idle times; train drivers and operators as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and regulatory agencies; prepare and present reports on operational performance.
• Develop plant and transport policies and procedures; ensure compliance with transport regulatory standards.
• Lead a team of plant and transport personnel, fostering continuous improvement and safety culture.
