Job summary

Biogen (UK) Ltd invites applications for a Senior Plant Maintenance Engineer deputising for the Site Manager to ensure safe, compliant and efficient site operation. You will lead the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program, schedule outages and oversee cost-efficient plant overhauls.

You will also prioritise reactive maintenance, manage budgets, drive improvements, and work with a team to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering; experience in related process industry preferred.
• Experience in engineering, PLC controls or electronics advantageous.
• Desirable qualifications/experience in materials handling, confined spaces, working at heights and first aid; training provided for WAMITAB and NEBOSH certificates.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system and manage planned downtime for safe, cost-effective overhaul.
• Prioritise and respond to reactive maintenance and repairs to minimise disruption.
• Support cost control, budgets and performance improvements; work as part of a team or independently as needed.
