A leading local planning authority in Birmingham seeks a Senior Planning Officer on a fixed-term contract. The role involves assessing planning applications and contributing to the city's growth, balancing development with environmental preservation.
Fixed Term Contract for 1 year
Grade 4 - £33,366 - £40,476
Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review
Working 37.5 hours per week

As a member of the planning team, you will be integral to this recovery, capitalising on the significant development across the city and the arrival of HS2. The city has, and will continue to experience, significant employment, housing, and retail growth. This needs to be balanced against the need to manage development pressure and also to protect and retain the city’s natural and built assets. The planning team is at the centre of this ambitious growth programme, and we are seeking talented and driven people to deliver it.
We are recruiting Senior Development Management Planners to help assess a range of planning applications from householder to more complex cases. We need ambitious planners willing to take on a variety of work in the most exciting city in the country.
