What we are recruiting for:

As a Bovis Senior Planning Manager, you will lead planning and monitoring of large/complex projects throughout all stages, working with the Project Operations Team to develop efficient methodologies and ensure timely delivery. You will also contribute to system and process improvements and oversee junior planning staff.

• Develop project planning, programmes, and delivery strategies with the project team for bids and projects.
• Lead preconstruction and construction methodologies for efficient project delivery.
• Manage project plans, programmes, and reports in accordance with procedures.
• Provide solutions for project delivery, considering team input.
• Report progress regularly against contract and project programmes.
• Prepare reports to inform senior leadership on programme matters.
• Use data analysis to pre-empt delays and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Assist in creating and updating medium and short-term programmes.
• Produce data for status updates and project dashboards.
• Chair weekly planning meetings to coordinate programmes and milestones.
• Review change proposals and assess time impacts.
• Record delays and production rates for benchmarking.
• Contribute to improving planning procedures and processes.
• Coordinate with BIM Coordinator on 4D BIM models.
• Ensure project team understanding and ownership of plans.
• Support and oversee junior planning staff when assigned.
• Develop skills of junior staff in planning techniques and tools.

Experience & background:

• Deep understanding of construction methods, building technology, pre-construction, and procurement.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial terms.
• Excellent communication skills adaptable to different audiences.
• Ability to produce high-standard reports and diagrams.
• Working knowledge of P6 and strong planning techniques using CPA.
• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
