The project:

A strategic infrastructure program within the defence sector, where Mace has been appointed as a delivery partner to manage and deliver key infrastructure projects, supporting the client's programme of infrastructure improvements. BPSS / SC clearance is required. The role will be based in the client's office 3 days per week.

You will manage assistants and planning managers as required and influence stakeholders and clients effectively.

You will be accountable for the planning function on projects or tenders, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, and monitoring.

Requirements:

Experience as a Primavera P6 project planner on large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects, preferably for a tier 1 contractor or client-side consultancy.

Excellent communication skills and knowledge of schedule management tools and software.

Up-to-date with industry trends, capable of delivering service excellence, and problem-solving skills.

Strong management and talent development skills.

Effective communication with clients and stakeholders across sectors.

Degree in construction or engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.

Membership in professional bodies such as APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, or similar is desirable.

Extensive experience in project planning, property or infrastructure project management, and leadership of large teams.

Knowledge of sustainability considerations related to projects.
