Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is sourcing a Planning Lead for a North West portfolio of high-value, technically complex projects. The role is hybrid in the North West with a £70,000 - £90,000 (DOE) package.

You will lead the planning strategy across major MEP projects, own critical paths, and provide expertise on EOTs, delay analysis and claims while collaborating with senior stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications

• Strong planning experience across major MEP/engineering projects.
• Experience within a Tier 1 MEP, building services or major engineering contractor.
• ASTA Powerproject experience – essential.
• Solid knowledge of NEC, JCT or similar forms of contract.
• The confidence to challenge programmes and influence Project Directors, Commercial teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning strategy and project controls across major MEP projects.
• Develop and manage integrated programmes from design through to commissioning and handover.
• Own critical path, programme risk, forecasting and recovery planning.
• Provide planning expertise across EOTs, delay analysis and claims.
• Work closely with Project Directors, Commercial teams, clients and senior stakeholders.
• Support bids, tenders and wider project planning where required.
• Lead and mentor other planners, with direct reports possible.
