Job summary

BAM Nuttall Ltd is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to support the HS2 Track Infrastructure project during its early design phase. The role focuses on developing and maintaining cost- and resource-loaded programmes in Primavera P6, coordinating with design, supply chain, construction and client teams to mitigate risks and resolve schedule conflicts.

Based in London with occasional site visits, you will mentor junior planners, chair collaborative planning workshops, and ensure NEC contract

Qualifications

• Senior Planning Engineer with experience on large-scale projects (£200m+).
• Experience in joint venture, design or alliance environments is beneficial.
• Rail systems experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain time-loaded Primavera P6 programmes with narratives.
• Coordinate with project controls to track performance using EVM and other metrics.
• Lead schedule reviews, identify risks/delays, and report progress to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior planning staff and run collaborative planning workshops.
• Ensure NEC contracts and procurement processes are reflected in planning.
