Job summary

Wood Group seeks a Principal Planning Engineer for a world-scale Pre-FEED/FEED project with Saudi Aramco, based in Reading. Lead a planning team, manage client expectations, and ensure schedules align with SAEP requirements across multiple projects.

You will present schedule topics to all levels, including Board members, and maintain strong communication with Saudi Aramco stakeholders while driving critical path insights and timely decision-making.

Qualifications

• Twenty years’ experience in a process industry with large capital projects.
• 10 years leadership experience.
• Experience on Pre-FEED/FEED projects.
• Knowledge of EPC phase in refinery/oil & gas facilities.
• Proven ability to lead a planning team.
• Experience controlling and directing planning activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling activities by the Engineering Contractor.
• Monthly monitoring and reporting of program schedules, progress and forecasts.
• Monitor KPI for intervention thresholds.
• Know the program critical path and communicate near-critical activities.
• Publish and report program progress to stakeholders.
• Conduct program schedule risk analysis regularly.
• Audit planning groups for consistency and quality.
• Mentor and support planners.
