Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join a major Tier 1 contractor delivering flagship highways infrastructure in Norfolk. You will lead baseline scheduling, time-risk management, and progress tracking across the project lifecycle.

You will maintain the contract master program in line with client specifications, measure site progress with production control tools, and run collaborative planning sessions with site teams to hit key milestones.

• Extensive experience in senior planning within civil engineering or highways.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and baseline contract programming.
• Experience leading planning sessions with site teams and delivering milestones.
• Experience working for Tier 1 contractors.

About this Role

This Senior Planning Engineer role offers an opportunity to join a major Tier 1 contractor delivering flagship highways infrastructure in Norfolk. You will lead baseline scheduling, time-risk management, and progress tracking across the project lifecycle.

Maintain the contract master program in full alignment with client specifications.

Measure site progress using production control tools, producing performance dashboards.

Lead collaborative planning sessions with site teams, focusing delivery on key milestones.

Constructively challenge short-term site schedules to ensure alignment with the master plan.

About You

You are an experienced Senior Planning Engineer with a strong civil engineering background and proven expertise in Primavera P6 and baseline contract programming.

Proven experience in planning and progress monitoring within civil engineering or highways.

Strong track record working for a Tier 1 contractor using modern planning software.

Practical knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and infrastructure contracts.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead collaborative planning sessions.
