You will play a key role in delivering large civil engineering projects that provide critical infrastructure for renewable developments across Scotland, near Inverness-shire and along the Moray coast. The role involves working from regional offices in Inverness and Kilsyth, with site visits during project delivery. The projects focus on energy infrastructure, including building substations and HVDC converter stations to support Scotland's transition to net zero.

Your work environment

BAM promotes flexible working and values diversity and inclusion, encouraging applicants regardless of race, religion, gender identity, age, disability, or other characteristics.

Your mission

Reporting to the Framework Planning Lead, your responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and maintaining detailed programmes in P6, including resource loading.
  2. Managing sub-contractor and supplier programmes alongside our own.
  3. Interpreting tender and project documentation.
  4. Understanding civil construction techniques and translating them into workable programmes.
  5. Coordinating with estimators and commercial teams on programme aspects.
  6. Preparing narratives, phasing, reports, and supporting documents for tenders and projects.
  7. Owning the programme to ensure project delivery.
  8. Using planning tools and techniques to communicate effectively.
  9. Sharing programme, risk, and commercial information with operational teams.
  10. Leading collaborative planning workshops with clients and subcontractors.
  11. Monitoring progress and compiling reports.
  12. Managing changes in programmes and supporting commercial teams.
  13. Assessing supply chain and subcontractor programmes.
  14. Adhering to business processes and systems.
  15. Staying updated on construction techniques.
Who are we looking for?

Preferred candidates will have experience with NEC contracts, at least 5 years in planning, and the ability to manage multiple projects. A Civil Engineering/Construction qualification to HND level or equivalent is preferred but not essential. Proficiency in P6 planning software is required. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop and manage programmes, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with site teams. Experience with Excel, Power BI, tendering, and change management within NEC contracts is advantageous.
