Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking an experienced Planning Enforcement Lead to manage a team of three Enforcement Officers and drive robust, responsive planning enforcement across the County Borough. The role requires a degree in a relevant subject, leadership experience, and a commitment to high professional standards.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid pattern with office and home-based arrangements, undertake site visits, and attend committee meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and strategic thinking.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Line-manage a team of 3 Planning Enforcement Officers.
• Lead investigations and resolution of breaches of planning control.
• Collaborate with other Lead Officers and the Head of Service to shape service direction.
