Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Birmingham is seeking an Associate Director - Planning to lead the planning function across complex, multidisciplinary projects, ensuring baselines align with contractual and performance metrics.

You will apply expert delay analysis, integrate schedule with cost and risk, deliver EVM reporting, and mentor a high-performing team while navigating NEC contracts and common industry practices, with flexible, hybrid working.

Qualifications

• A degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Proven planning leadership in sectors such as transport, energy, defence, water, or rail.
• Strong people management and mentoring track record.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC contracts and their practical application in complex environments.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage baselines aligned with contractual and performance metrics.
• Lead the planning function across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Deliver advanced reporting including Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Integrate schedule, cost, and risk to provide strategic insights and decision support.
• Apply delay analysis techniques and assure contractor schedule integrity.
