Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Planning Lead to oversee scheduling across complex, multidisciplinary projects in a flexible, hybrid work environment. You will drive baseline management, lead planning efforts, and deliver EVM reporting while integrating cost, schedule, and risk to support strategic decisions.

The role requires expertise in NEC contracts, strong stakeholder engagement, and a proven track record in transport or energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in project management, engineering, or construction management.
• Demonstrated success leading planning on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong people management with mentoring and developing teams.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC contracts and practical application in complex environments.
• Outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to influence at all levels.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project planning tools.
• Analytical, strategic thinker with collaborative mindset and best-practices expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage baselines aligned with contractual and performance metrics.
• Lead the planning function across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Facilitate workshops and performance reviews to challenge assumptions and drive accountability.
• Ensure schedule compliance with NEC contract obligations.
• Deliver advanced reporting including Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Integrate schedule, cost, and risk for strategic insights and decision support.
• Conduct critical path analysis and scenario planning to mitigate risks.
• Apply delay analysis techniques and assure contractor schedule integrity.
