Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate in its Planning & Infrastructure Consenting Team in Exeter. You will manage a varied caseload on high-quality planning matters, from large-scale development projects to energy schemes, while supporting acquisitions and disposals.

The role demands 4+ years PQE in planning law, strong drafting and client-relations skills, and a collaborative approach. Hybrid working is available with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' PQE in planning law
• Experience in residential development and/or energy related work
• Excellent communication, organisation and drafting abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Meticulous, detail driven approach
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships
• Interest in planning policy and sector developments
• Motivation to grow network and support BD initiatives

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of planning matters
• Lead large scale strategic development projects
• Advise on energy and infrastructure schemes
• Handle planning obligations and CIL
• Support acquisitions and disposals with property teams
• Assist with contentious planning matters including enforcement and appeals
• Run matters independently while collaborating with partners
