Yorkshire Water is seeking a Senior Planner (SRO) to lead planning for a £3bn water infrastructure programme within the Asset Delivery PMO. You will provide planning leadership, create robust schedules, and drive governance to support regulatory compliance and safe delivery.

The role offers hybrid working with 2–3 days in the Leeds office and requires extensive experience in planning and PMO environments along with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Planning on large-scale infra projects.
• Experience in PMO environments.
• Strong IT skills and planning tools, especially Primavera.
• Ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Management: Create and maintain complex, integrated programme schedules and work breakdown structures.
• Compliance & Governance: Align timelines with Ofwat’s gated process and corporate standards.
• Baseline & EVM: Build resource-loaded baselines for Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Partner Oversight: Validate third-party contractor schedules against NEC contracts.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor progress using SPI/CPI and dashboards.
• Risk & Scenario Planning: Run what-if scenarios and mitigate bottlenecks.
• Cross-Functional Unity: Collaborate with Cost, Risk, and Commercial teams.
• Advisory Leadership: Provide planning guidance to senior leaders.
