Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Senior Planner to lead and manage detailed construction programmes for our South Coast region. You will develop robust plans, monitor progress and coordinate with project teams to ensure milestones are met while optimizing resources and mitigating risks.

You will mentor junior planners, produce clear reports, and collaborate with clients and supply chains to maintain a cohesive planning approach across multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and managing complex construction programmes.
• Strong knowledge of planning techniques including critical path analysis and risk management.
• Experience using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and present clear programme reports, highlighting progress, dependencies and impacts on delivery.
• Support project teams in managing change and developing recovery plans.
• Mentor and support less experienced planners, promoting standards and best practice.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients and supply chain partners for coordinated planning.
