Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an experienced Planner to join the Regional Civils team covering the South East Region. You will develop, maintain and manage project programmes, providing clear planning information to support delivery across a portfolio of major civil engineering projects.

You will collaborate with project teams, commercial, engineering and operations, monitor progress, identify risks and support recovery planning to keep programmes on track and ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSc/HND in Civil Engineering/Construction.
• Experience in a Planning role within construction or civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning and project programming.
• Experience using P6 Primavera or similar planning software.
• Good understanding of project controls, progress monitoring and reporting.
• The ability to analyse programme data, identify risks and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes from tender through to completion.
• Working closely with project teams to establish realistic and achievable programmes.
• Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays, risks and opportunities.
• Providing regular programme updates and reporting to key stakeholders.
• Supporting the development of recovery and mitigation plans where required.
• Working collaboratively with commercial, engineering and operational teams.
• Contributing to project reviews and providing planning expertise to support key decisions.
