Job summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, manufacturing capacity and material availability.
- Convert customer orders into production work orders using Oracle MRP/ERP.
- Coordinate and monitor the flow of work through assembly and machining operations to ensure production schedules are achieved.
- Proactively identify and resolve scheduling challenges that could impact manufacturing performance or customer deliveries.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Sales to align priorities and maintain efficient production flow.
- Monitor manufacturing capacity and recommend actions to address potential bottlenecks or resource constraints.
- Maintain accurate planning data and update production schedules to reflect changing business priorities.
- Support OTIF delivery performance by ensuring production plans remain realistic and achievable.
- Prepare production reports and communicate schedule status, risks and priorities to key stakeholders.
- Support new product introductions and planning activities associated with manufacturing readiness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning efficiency, lead time reduction and operational performance.
- Ensure planning activities are completed in accordance with company quality, health, safety and operational procedures.

As a Senior Planner / Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that align customer demand with manufacturing capacity, material availability and operational priorities. This role plays a vital part in supporting operational performance and customer satisfaction. By proactively managing production schedules, identifying potential constraints and coordinating across multiple functions, you'll help improve On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) performance, reduce lead times and ensure manufacturing commitments are achieved.
You’ll join a collaborative Planning team supporting NOV’s Wellhead manufacturing operations in Kintore. Working alongside Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Sales, you’ll be part of an experienced and supportive team that values open communication, teamwork and proactive problem-solving. The environment is fast-paced, highly interactive and focused on delivering results for customers.

- Experience within the oil and gas, energy or heavy engineering sector.
- Knowledge of Wellhead or Pressure Control Equipment manufacturing.

- Professional certification such as APICS CPIM or CIPS.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.
