Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a nuclear client in Berkshire on an initial 18-month contract.

The role focuses on planning, project controls and earned value management to support the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and programme decisions. The candidate will work with Task Managers, Project Controls and Business Management to maintain schedule integrity, forecast accurately and ensure governance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project planning and project controls.
• Experience developing and maintaining integrated master schedules.
• Good knowledge of Earned Value Management / EVMS.
• Experience with schedule analysis, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within structured, highly regulated or complex project environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Provide specialist Planning and Project Controls support to projects.
• Deliver accurate and timely schedule forecasts to support business decision-making.
• Produce Planning and Earned Value Management (EVM) deliverables in line with agreed business rhythms.
• Undertake schedule network analysis and Earned Value variance analysis, including SPI.
• Support long-range operational integrated programme planning.
• Review project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and recommend changes where appropriate.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of Planning processes, policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Provide Planning expertise for peer reviews and project assurance activities.
• Support the implementation and delivery of Planning tools, EVMS, templates and training.
• Work closely with Task Managers, Project Controls, Programme and Business Management teams.
• Develop effective working relationships with key project stakeholders.
• Support emergent projects and planning activities as directed by the Business Controller.
• Maintain high standards across environment, health, safety, security and quality.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Planner to join a nuclear client in Berkshire on an initial 18-month contract.

The successful candidate will provide specialist Planning, Project Controls and Earned Value Management (EVM) expertise, supporting the delivery and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). You will work closely with Task Managers, Project Controls and Business Management teams to maintain schedule integrity, provide robust forecasting and support effective programme decision-making.

This is a key role within a complex project environment, requiring strong planning experience and the ability to work confidently with project stakeholders across the business.

We are looking for a Senior Planner / Project Controls Planner with strong experience across complex projects or programmes.

You should have:

• Significant experience in project planning and project controls.
• Strong experience developing and maintaining integrated master schedules.
• Good knowledge of Earned Value Management / EVMS.
• Experience with schedule analysis, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience working with WBS, programme schedules and project controls processes.
• The ability to analyse schedule performance and provide meaningful insight to project teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within structured, highly regulated or complex project environments is advantageous.
