Job summary

RGB Recruitment in Exeter is seeking a Senior Planner to lead a diverse portfolio across residential, commercial, leisure, renewable energy and heritage sectors. MRTPI qualification and strong UK planning experience are required.

This full-time role, based in Exeter (with potential Cornwall office), offers a salary of £40k-£50k DOE and opportunities to lead client relationships, mentor junior staff, and support business growth within a well-established consultancy.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualified and registered planner.
• Experience leading planning projects in consultancy or Local Authority.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and permission processes.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and workload.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse range of planning projects from inception through to determination.
• Prepare planning appraisals, planning applications and appeals.
• Provide commercially focused planning advice to a wide variety of clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and attend meetings as needed.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development.
