Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Senior Planner to join a growing Planning team in the South West, with options for Bristol or Cardiff offices. You will lead planning applications, provide expert advice, and mentor junior planners while shaping the region’s growth trajectory.

The role requires MRTPI qualification and a strong background in planning consultancy, local authority, or development environments, along with excellent communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualified required.
• Experience in planning consultancy, local authority, or development environment.
• Strong technical planning expertise and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Good knowledge of the South West planning market and policy landscape.
• Commercially aware with networking and business development interest.
• Collaborative team player who mentors junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage planning applications, appeals, and strategic planning projects.
• Provide clear, commercially focused planning advice to clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, authorities, and stakeholders.
• Support business development and identify opportunities to win new work.
• Mentor and develop junior planners with guidance and technical support.
• Prepare high-quality reports, planning statements, and representations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to deliver successful outcomes.
