Job summary

JC Virtual PMs is a UK-based virtual consultancy delivering project management and information management services. This role owns the programme on large projects from baseline to completion, turning data into clear insights for PMs and clients.

You will mentor Planners and Assistant Planners, report to the Associate Planner, and ensure earned value reporting quality on complex projects while reviewing others' work.

Qualifications

• Around 6 years' planning experience on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Advanced Primavera P6 skills.
• Strong working knowledge of earned value management.
• Clear written reporting and confident communication with project teams and clients.
• Right to work in the country where you will be based.
• Desirable: Asta Powerproject and MS Project.
• Desirable: Experience reviewing contractor programmes against NEC or JCT requirements.
• Desirable: Strong Excel skills; Power BI.
• Desirable: Experience mentoring planners.

Responsibilities

• Build, baseline and maintain detailed programmes in Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or MS Project
• Run monthly progress updates, critical path and float analysis, and programme commentary
• Produce earned value (EVM) reports: planned value, earned value, SPI and CPI, with variance explanations
• Review contractor and consultant programmes for quality, logic and contract compliance (NEC, JCT)
• Support schedule risk analysis and early warning and change assessments
• Mentor and check the work of Planners and Assistant Planners
