Job summary

VolkerWessels is seeking a Senior Planner based at the Birmingham office with hybrid working. You will drive pre-construction and construction delivery planning for projects ranging from £1M to £100M in the Industrial/Warehouse and Data Centre sectors, visiting sites regularly and ensuring programmes are robust and updated.

You will bring expertise in construction planning, a qualification in a construction-related field, and be adept at communicating with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction planning within main contracting sector (Build).
• Track record on tenders and live projects valued £1M–£100M.
• Strong communication and strategic thinking to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce fully logic linked and integrated 'bid winning' tender programmes (design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, handover).
• Visit sites regularly to provide hands-on planning support and resolve challenges.
• Monitor progress and identify risks early with proactive solutions.
• Provide expert planning advice across multiple projects, influencing outcomes and driving excellence.
• Demonstrate strong experience in tenders and live projects (£1M–£100M).
• Be proficient in Asta Powerproject; experience with P6 preferred.
