Job summary

Amey is seeking a Senior Planner to support Highways and Infrastructure programmes across Scotland, with bases in Perth or Glasgow. You will lead planning and project controls, manage complex schedules, and deliver governance and reporting to senior stakeholders.

The role demands strong experience in major capital delivery, excellent stakeholder management, and advanced use of Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel and Power BI to drive forecasts and performance insights.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning within highways, infrastructure or major capital projects.
• Experience leading planning across large, complex programmes.
• Strong schedule, risk, change control, forecasting and governance knowledge.
• Proficient with Primavera P6, MS Project and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and project controls across highways and infrastructure.
• Develop and improve programme controls frameworks.
• Manage integrated schedules with CPM, baselines, and forecasting.
• Provide performance dashboards, KPIs and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with commercial, finance, procurement and ops teams.
• Interface with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Lead planning reviews and meetings.
