Salary:

£44,000 - £65,900 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern:

The role

As part of our continued growth, SSEN Transmission has opportunities for experienced Planners to support a wide range of nationally significant projects across our Onshore, Offshore and Development teams. You’ll play an important role in helping project teams build, manage and understand robust programmes that support safe, efficient and timely delivery.

Using your planning and scheduling experience, you’ll provide clear insight across the full project lifecycle, helping teams understand progress, risks, opportunities and the actions needed to keep projects moving. This is a great opportunity to contribute to major infrastructure projects that are helping to upgrade the electricity transmission network and support the transition to net zero.

You will
  • Develop, maintain and manage high-quality project schedules across the full project lifecycle, from early development through to delivery, construction, commissioning and energisation.
  • Use Primavera P6 to build, update and analyse project plans, helping teams understand key milestones, progress, risks and potential impacts.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineering, commercial, site delivery, contractors and wider stakeholders to create realistic and aligned programmes.
  • Review, challenge and improve project schedules, ensuring they are clear, logic-driven and able to support informed decision making.
  • Provide clear reporting and insight that helps project and business leaders understand performance, make decisions and identify areas for action.
You have
  • Experience in a planning or scheduling role, ideally within major infrastructure, construction, energy or large capital projects.
  • Good working knowledge of Primavera P6, with the ability to build, maintain and analyse project schedules.
  • An understanding of project controls and contract planning requirements, with NEC3 or FIDIC experience being beneficial.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work with internal teams, contractors and delivery partners.
  • A proactive, organised and solution-focused approach, with good Microsoft 365 skills and the ability to travel to SSE offices and project sites when required
