Job summary

CMR is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our Reading office, delivering robust construction schedules and governance across UK projects. You will own schedules, define BOE, benchmark against data, and work with cost, risk and procurement teams to align estimates and milestones.

The role requires DV/SC clearance, strong Primavera P6 skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach to planning in a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• DV or SC clearance is required or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in construction or infrastructure planning.
• Advanced scheduling expertise, Primavera P6.
• Senior Planner level experience with schedule ownership.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of schedule hierarchy, governance and change control.
• Familiarity with NEC or FIDIC contracts.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, realistic construction schedules.
• Define Basis of Estimate for schedule scope with key assumptions.
• Coordinate with Cost and Risk teams to align estimates and schedule impacts.
• Review supplier/contractor schedules and challenge logic when needed.
• Ensure schedules are validated with benchmark data and BIM where applicable.
• Support planning leadership across the programme and governance.
