Job summary

Access Talent Group is seeking a Senior Planner for a leading global data centre contractor to support major hyperscale and critical projects in the UK. The role starts in London, with a planned transition to Middlesbrough as the project progresses.

You will develop, manage and maintain detailed programmes across the project lifecycle, collaborating with project teams, commercial and engineering functions to track progress and drive milestones.

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years' experience in construction project planning
  • Advanced Primavera P6 experience
  • Experience producing detailed programmes, updates and recovery plans
  • Previous Data Centre, industrial, pharmaceutical, energy or other complex project experience is highly advantageous
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

Job description

A leading global data centre contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join their UK team, supporting the delivery of major hyperscale and mission-critical projects.

The role will be initially based in London, before transitioning to the North East as the project progresses.

The Role

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing and maintaining detailed project programmes throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work closely with project management, commercial, engineering and construction teams to monitor progress, manage programme risks and ensure key milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed programmes using Primavera P6
  • Monitor progress, critical path and key project milestones
  • Identify programme risks, delays and opportunities
  • Produce programme updates, progress reports and recovery schedules
  • Review and manage subcontractor programmes
  • Support construction sequencing, resource planning and project controls

Requirements
  • 5–10+ years' experience in construction project planning
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and critical path analysis
  • Advanced Primavera P6 experience
  • Experience producing detailed programmes, updates and recovery plans
  • Previous Data Centre, industrial, pharmaceutical, energy or other complex project experience is highly advantageous
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant Engineering, Construction or Planning qualification advantageous
  • Willingness to work in London initially before transitioning to Middlesbrough
