Job summary

Pertemps TM is recruiting a Senior / Associate Planner for their Exeter or Cornwall offices. The role leads a varied portfolio across residential, commercial, leisure, renewable energy and heritage sectors, with ownership of projects and strong client relationships.

You'll be part of an established independent consultancy, working in a collaborative team, mentoring juniors, and contributing to business development. MRTPI qualification is preferred; salary £40k-£50k DOE with a generous package.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning consultancy or Local Authority.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
• Experience preparing planning applications and appeals.
• Commercial awareness and strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload and client relationships.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse range of planning projects from inception through to determination.
• Prepare planning appraisals, planning applications and appeals.
• Provide commercially focused planning advice to a wide variety of clients.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Attend client meetings, Planning Committees and public consultations where required.
• Contribute towards business development and generating new opportunities.
• Mentor junior members of the team where appropriate.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior / Associate Planner to join a well-established independent planning consultancy based in their Exeter or Cornwall offices.

Working as part of an experienced and collaborative team, you'll take the lead on a varied portfolio of planning projects across the residential, commercial, leisure, renewable energy and heritage sectors. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious MRTPI Planner looking to step into a senior role where they can take ownership of projects, build long-term client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse range of planning projects from inception through to determination
