Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking a Senior Planner to join the Stansted Airport civil works team. You will lead planning efforts, develop and maintain detailed schedules, and ensure NEC/JCT contract requirements are understood and met across projects.

The role requires Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject expertise, proactive risk management, and the ability to provide expert planning advice across multiple schemes, with driving licence and degree qualification as prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Degree required or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering planning for civil works.
• Proven ability to interpret NEC/JCT contracts and apply to planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide project planning support to the Project Lead and teams.
• Ensure tender and contractual planning requirements are understood and complied with.
• Maintain project plans reflecting technical scope of works.
• Monitor progress, identify risks early and propose proactive solutions.
• Provide expert planning advice across multiple projects.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Senior Planner experienced in planning for civil works, to join our project at Stansted Airport. You will be responsible for:

• Providing project planning support to the Project Lead and their teams.
• Ensuring that all clients tender and contractual requirements are understood and complied with in relation to project planning, resource planning and progress planning.
• Ensuring that the project plans for assigned contracts accurately reflect the technical scope of works
• Monitoring progress and identifying risks early, ensuring proactive solutions are in place.
• Providing expert planning advice across multiple projects, influencing outcomes and driving excellence. Proven project planning experience
• Detailed knowledge of using planning software, Primavera P6 / Asta Powerproject
• Experience with working on NEC/JCT contract types
• Experience of working on Civils, Aviation or highways projects
• Degree qualified (or holds an equivalent qualification)
