Job summary

Bournemouth University invites applications for a Long-arm Practice Placement Supervisor to support physiotherapy students on placement, primarily in care home settings. You will supervise, assess and mentor students, ensuring safe, effective and enriching practice learning experiences.

The role requires travel between multiple sites, with a term-time-only arrangement at 22 hours per week, and a fixed term until 19 January 2029. Hybrid/online coordination via Microsoft Teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Registered physiotherapist with HCPC
• Experience in rehabilitation services for older people
• Experience supporting and assessing students in a practice learning environment

Responsibilities

• Provide long-arm supervision to students on placement in care home settings
• Offer professional and educational support, monitor progress and wellbeing
• Provide assessment and feedback to students and liaise with placement providers
