We are looking for a Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant to join our friendly physiotherapy team at West Cumberland Hospital. You will support the delivery of inpatient rehabilitation programmes and assist with the running of group rehabilitation sessions Working closely with Physiotherapists and the wider MDT, you will deliver delegated treatment programmes, support patient exercises, and contribute to high-quality, person-centred care.

A rehabilitation assistant in a multi-disciplinary team is expected to work with other health and social care professionals to develop the ethos of multi-disciplinary, integrated care and seamless services ensuring that patient care is delivered to the highest possible standard. As a rehabilitation assistant reporting to a registered health professional, the post holder will implement rehabilitation plans for patients in the community and other settings, observe the patient's condition, providing direct care with a rehabilitation and therapy focus. This may include supporting patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living. Flexible working will be required to meet the needs of the patient group. The ability to work over 7 days is a requirement of the post. The hours of work will be on a rota covering a shift pattern between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Continuing professional development is actively encouraged and as part of the team you will have the opportunity to take part in the process.
