Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Hexham is seeking a Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist to join our physiotherapy service, covering the Hexham General Hospital and surrounding sites. The post involves a 30-hour week with weekend and bank holiday working, and a commitment to a 7-day rota as required.

You will work predominantly with stroke rehabilitation and elderly care, with some orthopaedic commitments, and participate in flexible working arrangements to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• BSC Honours degree in Physiotherapy
• Registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council
• Evidence of continued professional development through CPD records
• Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
• Student training qualification provided by University

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat an independent clinical caseload within the specialities
• Work as part of the physiotherapy team under guidance and support of senior staff
• Provide a high standard of physiotherapy care
• Role model compassionate and inclusive leadership within the trust
• Contribute to student education
• Support day-to-day leadership and organisation of the team

Education

HCPC registration

Continued professional development (CPD)
