Job summary

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a physiotherapist to provide assessment and treatment in the emergency department and acute medical/geriatric units. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to support discharge planning and onward rehabilitation referrals, and rotate on a 7-day rota with an overnight respiratory on-call component.

This fixed-term position lasts nine months from start date.

Qualifications

• Registered Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience in acute medical/ED environments preferred.
• Willing to work a 7-day rota including nights.
• Fixed-term contract of 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for inpatients and ED patients.
• Support discharge planning and referrals.
• Teach and develop junior staff and assistants.
• Participate in on-call and weekend duties.
• Maintain patient records with high standards.
