Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join the acute therapies team at Southport & Ormskirk Hospital. This 12-month fixed-term post (secondment) offers a 37.5-hour week and a on-call respiratory component.

You’ll provide high-standard physiotherapy across multiple rotations and support development of Band 6 skills within a dynamic, patient-focused environment. NHS benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Clinical Educators Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard physiotherapy within rotations: Respiratory, Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Stroke, Acute Medicine, Elderly Medicine and Urgent Care.
• Active in respiratory on-call service and 7-day therapy service across the department.
• Mentor physiotherapy students during clinical placements with supervision.
• Support Band 7/8 colleagues in day-to-day management and supervision of therapy teams.
• Manage a caseload and work autonomously within defined areas.
