Job summary

The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist - Inpatients to join the Physiotherapy team on a 22.5-hour per week, permanent basis. Salary is up to £41,000 per year (FTE) depending on experience, training and qualification.

Key duties include independent assessment and treatment of patients with complex needs across inpatient and outpatient settings, developing tailored treatment plans, and collaborating with the MDT to support timely

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with solid post-registration experience.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience mentoring junior staff or students.
• Familiarity with electronic documentation and outcome measurement tools.
• Involvement in audit or clinical service initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess and treat inpatients with complex needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to optimise recovery and function.
• Monitor progress and adapt interventions to high standards of care.
• Manage a designated caseload with prioritisation for discharge planning.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to support safe patient care.

The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate is part of Circle Health Group , Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist – Inpatients to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a part-time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Independently assess and treat patients with more complex needs across inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Develop individualised treatment plans using a variety of physiotherapy techniques to optimise recovery, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions accordingly, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
• Manage a designated caseload efficiently, prioritising based on clinical urgency and discharge planning needs.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective, and timely patient care.
• Contribute to continuity of care by supporting patient transitions between services.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
• Solid post-registration experience across a range of clinical areas.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to team working and service improvement.
• Evidence of CPD or postgraduate learning in a relevant clinical area.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff or students.
• Familiarity with electronic documentation and outcome measurement tools.
• Involvement in audit or clinical service initiatives.
