Job summary

Matched Group is seeking a PHP Developer to build, maintain, and support our SaaS platform. You will work with PHP 8+ and Symfony, delivering features and fixes within an established codebase and collaborating in an Agile environment.

The role offers mostly remote work across England, with a Berkshire office for day-one equipment collection. You’ll contribute to testing, code reviews, and production support to ensure robust software delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' commercial experience with PHP 8+ development on large codebases.
• Experience with the Symfony framework and RESTful API design.
• Strong SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and data modelling.
• AWS experience or equivalent cloud services; solid OOP/SOLID principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and support internal systems.
• Deliver work through the full SDLC in an Agile environment.
• Investigate and resolve production defects and issues.
• Maintain and modernise legacy applications.
• Write automated unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews.
