Job summary

To assist the Pharmacy Procurement and IT Systems Manager in the safe and cost-effective procurement of medicines for the trust.

Answer queries of a complex technical nature regarding drug availability and supply, providing specialist advice to meet patient and customer needs.

Support pharmacy technical services related to High-Cost Medicines not reimbursed by national tariffs, in line with NHSE and CCG commissioning, local policies, and procedures to ensure safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective use.

Assist in developing, manipulating, and analyzing reports and databases related to medicines procurement and usage to respond efficiently to requests from commissioners, finance, and pharmacy.

Main duties include:

• Supporting the delivery of the trust's drug budget CIP and Medicines Optimisation Agenda.
